Tama Upgrades Swingstar Sets Yet Again

January 24, 2004

Tama has upgraded its Swingstar sets every year for the last four years, with each year delivering more high-end features at an entry-level price. Since 2000, Tama has added Accu-Tune bass drum hoops, matching finish wood snare drums, the legendary Omni-Ball tom holder, and double-braced stand legs. Swingstar Ready-To-Rock packages then added thrones and cymbals so players could get everything they needed in one convenient package. Only the Swingstar shells--crafted to the same exacting standards as Tana's high-end professional kits--have remained the same.

Now Tama is raising the bar again. In 2004, all Swingstar 5pc catalog kits will all be complete "Ready To Rock" packages featuring 18" extra deep bass drums and Accel-sized toms (which will also be available for individual order). In addition Tama has upgraded to high-quality German-made brass cymbals which raises the bar yet another notch.

Swingstar Ready To Rock packages are available in four different configurations all of which list for $999.99. Swingstar drums and stands are also available for individual order. Swingstar drums feature 8-ply Philippine Mahogany shells. Seven different finishes are available.
