Tech 21 has released two instrument power amplifiers: the 300-watt, 4-Ohm Power Engine 300, and the stereo Power Engine 400 producing 200 watts per side at 8 Ohms.
These 2U rackmount power amps are engineered specifically for musical instruments. They can be used with any direct recording device or instrument pre-amp, analog or digital, tube or solid state, in stomp box or rackmount formats, from any manufacturer.
Each model sports an oversized power supply with toroidal transformer. Each employs top-quality Toshiba power transistors and a heat-sensor equipped cooling fan for super reliability. Other features include front panel level control(s) with LED indicators for Signal and Clip, 1/4" input, balanced XLR input and output, and parallel speaker outputs.
