Terra Tec's PHASE 88 RACK offers all the ports required for a professional music production system. The modular system can be extended to 40 physical inputs and outputs. Based on the PHASE 88 Recording Interface, the rack version offers eight analog inputs and outputs with 24-bit / 96-kHz resolution in an external 19" rack module. All inputs and outputs are balanced for noise-free signal routing; the 6.3 mm (1/4") jacks are mounted on the rear panel. PHASE 88 Rack is available now for a suggested retail price of 559.00 USD.
In addition to a (coaxial) S/PDIF digital interface and two separate MIDI inputs/outputs, PHASE 88 RACK features two balanced microphone inputs on the front panel. The PCI bus card is equipped with a fully integrated 20-channel hardware mixer with 36-bit internal resolution and 20-in-4 routing. Every input channel is furnished with a dedicated analog curcuit that can be switched from -10 dBv to +4dBv, as well as a variable amp with up to 18 dB gain. With these features, the PHASE 88 RACK is able to make the most of the 24-bit converters' outstanding dynamic range. Channel thru monitoring generates zero latency, and latency introduced by the ASIO 2.0 driver comes to less than three ms.
Up to four PHASE 88 RACK systems can be synchronized and cascaded within a single computer. This means that the system can be extended to 40 physical inputs and outputs and eight MIDI I/Os with 128 MIDI channels without adding to the CPU load.
The PHASE 88 RACK offers drivers for Windows 98/ME, 2000, XP (ASIO 2.0, DirectSound, MME with Multi-Client mode, and ASIO GSIF Multi-Client) and Mac OSX (CoreAudio und CoreMIDI).
