Ultimate Sound Bank unveiled the all-new "Ultra Focus" virtual synth at Winter NAMM 2004. Combining a diversity of sound with simple access to presets and great sound shaping tools, Ultra Focus provides composers with an easy to use, all-in-one solution, allowing for a wide array of synth sounds from a single virtual instrument. The product, which will be available in March 2004, will be distributed in North America by ILIO Entertainments.
Ultra Focus was designed by USB engineers to combine the best synth sounds from a variety of sources into a single instrument. The dual layer architecture found in the Ultra Focus allows for speed and ease in creating original sounds, combining patches from disparate sounds such as FM and wavetables into unique new sound experiences. Each layer on Ultra Focus is equipped with an arsenal of synthesis tools, such as multimode filter, LFOs, and envelopes, which provide the user with a large arsenal of sound shaping tools.
In order to speed up the sound selection process, every sound in the Ultra Focus palette is conveniently categorized by sound type and synthesis technique to ensure maximum ease of use. Categories include pure analog, FM & format synthesis, wavetables, vector synthesis, additive sounds, PCM synths, analog modeling, Stack/Hybrid/Chords and raw waveforms, as well as a number of additional bonus machines.
Ultra Focus is available for VST, RTAS, AudioUnits, MAS, Dxi and MachFive, and is compatible with PC, Mac OSX & OS9. The product will ship in March, 2004, and will have an MSRP of $299.
