A Designs Audio announced a modification of the MP-1 (mono) and MP-2 (stereo) tube microphone preamplifiers. Previously, A Designs Audio added a Direct Input for instruments on the Neutrix Combo XLR1/4 inch connector. Due to customer demand, the Direct Input has been moved from the back of the units to the front, making access to the connection easier. The MP-1 and MP-2 are pure tube in/tube out microphone preamplifiers. The zero feedback design employs transformer balanced input and output to produce full bandwidth signal at the lowest possible noise level. Constructed with high quality parts, including Jensen input transformers, these 2U devices are intended for demanding applications such as vocals and acoustic instruments. Front panel includes independent polarity, phantom power, level controls plus large backlit true VU meters, and 1/4 inch female phono jack(s).
