This Winter's NAMM show brought Ampeg's new BSE115 speaker, a bass sub enclosure made with high-quality U.S. parts that's available at an affordable cost. The BSE115 delivers tight and punchy lows and is efficient enough to be used with even smaller wattage heads. The BSE115 features one custom Ampeg 15-inch driver with three-inch voice coil and 95 oz magnet for plenty of power handling capacity and a punchy low end, as well as an infinite-baffle sealed design for tight and focused sound dispersion. Heavy-duty spring loaded handles and two-inch heavy-duty casters provide easy portability. Finally, tuned front ports allow for enhanced and focused low end response. The speaker's usable low frequency is down to 35Hz. The BSE115, built with in the U.S. with American-made Ampeg drivers and parts is a remarkable speaker at $499.
