Ampeg Introduces New B-Series Enclosure Designed by Wooten and Bailey
January 25, 2004
Advertisement Ampeg introduced another amp series as the result of collaboration with the artists who rely on Ampeg to achieve their sound. The new BXT series was designed in partnership with bassists Victor Wooten and Steve Bailey to smoothly reproduce the mids and highs for a focused, naturally-scooped tone. Two enclosures, the BXT-410HL4 and the BXT-115HL4, were introduced at NAMM in 2001. They'll be joined this January by the new BXT-210M, a front-slot-ported cabinet that features a flexible design so it can stand vertically, horizontally, or sit atop another cabinet. The BXT-210M utilizes a tractix-type coaxial horn built right in and has one Speakon input with two 1/4" jacks. The BXT-210M will list for $799. For more information, visit their web site at http://www.ampeg.com/.
