NAMM: Tassman 4.0 Announced

Applied Acoustics Systems announced the upcoming release of Tassman 4 for Mac OSX and Window. Tassman 4 is scheduled for release at the end of the first quarter of 2004. Tassman 4 will offer musicians and sound designers a broader range of creative possibilities with an expanded synth and preset library, the possibility to process live audio inputs and sync to host capability. Tassman 4 also includes new functionalities for the management and design of presets such as an output effect section, new effect modules and a performance mode. Based on AAS' physical modeling technology, the Tassman is a modular sound design solution, offering a near infinite range of creative possibilities for emulation of acoustic instruments, analog and FM synthesizers, and unique hybrid constructions simply not possible by any other means of synthesis. Tassman includes 50 instruments and over 1000 presets. Pricing and Availability The Tassman 4 will be available for Mac OS X and Windows systems at the end of the first quarter of 2004 at a suggested retail price of US$ 499.
