January 25, 2004

B.C. Rich announced that its Virgin model guitar has been augmented with a new spin-off. Enter "Virgo," a stunning instrument that is based on the Virgin body shape, but with a bite out of its bottom, so to speak. The curved, pendulum-shaped bottom end of the classic Virgin has received a new cutaway in this location, mirroring its Beast headstock and giving the instrument a new, sultrier disposition. There are two new Virgo guitar models: one features an Onyx finish with dramatic "Blood" bevel edges; the other is reversed: a Blood body finish with Onyx bevels. Both guitars offer an Ebony fingerboard with Blood Drop inlay; black hardware; a Mahogany body with Tune-O-Matic bridge; and, uncommon for B.C. Rich, one Humbucking pickup in the bridge position and one Single-coil pickup in the neck position. For more information, visit their web site at http://www.bcrich.com/.
