New TU-80 Tuner and Metronome from Boss

January 15, 2004

Boss introduced the TU-80 Tuner & Metronome at this year's Winter NAMM show, an LCD tuner with Accu-Pitch and metronome features built-in. The pocket-sized TU-80 runs on batteries and can tune almost any instrument, thanks to a chromatic tuning mode. It even tunes 7-string guitars and 6-string basses.

The TU-80 is so slim it can fit in a pocket. It uses Boss' LCD tuning, and sports the Accu-Pitch function, which plays a tone when the correct tuning is reached. Thanks to Accu-Pitch, guitarists have no need to constantly look down at the tuner, and they can easily tune up in a dark environment.

But the TU-80 doesn't just tune guitars; its chromatic and flat tuning modes make it ideal for bass guitars, strings, brass, woodwinds and more. The correct pitches can be easily verified using the Reference Tone Play function, while the TU-80's built-in metronome makes it easy to stay on beat with seven rhythms and 10 beat variations.

MSRP: $39.50
