January 20, 2004

Dynaudio Acoustics announced two new active subwoofers in the BM series at NAMM – the BM 10S and BM 12S. With 10" and 12" woofers respectively, their compact size is well suited to either stereo or multichannel setups in smaller editing suites, and recording and mixing studios. The BM 10S is powered by a 200W amplifier, while the BM 12S is powered by a 250W amp. Substantial power makes the new subwoofers excellent compliments to Dynaudio's M range and BM Series monitors. The BM 10S ($1595 MSRP) and BM 12S ($2195 MSRP) are expected to ship in March. Both subwoofers include the DSC 1M remote controller for added convenience. In addtition to subwoofer level control, the remote was designed for frequency range adjustment, storage and recall of presets, and tuning the phase settings without leaving the sweet spot.
