Groove Tubes announced their new PDI Passive Direct Input. The PDI provides a means of interfacing between instrument/line level signals and balanced mic-level equipment. It will be available at a suggested retail price of $39.99 (USD). The PDI (Passive Direct Input) is a simple, affordable Direct Box that converts a line or instrument level unbalanced signal to a low impedance balanced signal. Designed as a reliable tool for studio or stage, the Groove Tubes PDI allows for direct interfacing between instruments and recorders, mixers and other equipment. Two 1/4" jacks, wired in parallel, allow for connection of instruments or line-level signals, while a male XLR jack provides balanced output to mixing consoles. Other features include a Ground switch and sturdy construction for reliable use in both studio and live sound applications. The PDI has a suggested retail price of $39.99 (USD).
