In an effort to reach even more artists and aspiring musicians Kurzweil has begun shipping the PC1x to authorized dealers nationwide. An addition to the Kurzweil Performance Controller line, the PC1x includes many of the PC2 series features at a more affordable price.

The PC1x includes 512 on board programs including Kurzweil's Orchestral collection and full General MIDI compatibility. It also includes one additional ROM slot, allowing the user to add even more sounds.

The PC1x also offers MIDI In, Out and Thru, an arpeggiator, and user controllable EQ. The Flash ROM engine can be upgraded over MIDI, giving it a longer life and easy upgrades.

Considered by many to be the descendant of the PC2 series, it has many of the same features, including dual FX processors, 64 note polyphony, 32MB Sample ROM, 64 factory setups and powerful editing abilities.

Control surfaces for the PC1x include 88 weighted keys, four knobs, four programmable buttons, three pedal inputs and one ribbon controller input as well as pitch and mod wheels.

MSRP: $1,495.
