Pro-Mark Reintroduces ZX 5A Model Drumstick

January 16, 2004

Pro-Mark Corporation has reintroduced one of it's most popular models, the "ZX" 5A.

The "ZX" 5A is made of Pro-Mark's Shira Kashi Japanese White Oak and has an acorn shaped wood tip. A black nylon "cap" and red "ring" at the butt end gives the "ZX" 5A its distinctive appearance.

"The 'ZX' 5A is company founder Herb Brochstein's favorite model", explains Pro-Mark's director of sales and marketing, Pat Brown. "So, to honor him, we've made it the Herb Brochstein model and each pair carries his autograph."

Brown notes, "The plastic cap on the butt end makes this a very functional stick with many uses. For example, the wood tip produces a nice warm cymbal sound, but if you really want the bell to sing, you can turn the stick around and use the butt end."

The "ZX" 5A (stock number PZX5AW) is 16 inches (406mm) long, and .551inch (14mm) in diameter with an acorn-shaped wood tip.

Suggested retail price is $14.95 and it is available now.
