Limited Edition UltraSonic Snare Drums from Puresound

Puresound Percussion has introduced its first accessory drum: the "UltraSonic", Limited Edition, 5x14" copper snare drum. The new drum features the distinctive look and sound of an exclusive, high-grade copper shell with chrome-plated brass tube-lugs, heavy-gauge 2.3mm triple-flanged steel counterhoops, Remo Ambassador heads and Puresound's new 30-strand "Super" snare wires. The vintage-style, rolled shells have a clear lacquer sealant over their polished copper exterior surface and are equipped with ultra-consistent, machine-formed bearing edges and snare beds. "There are a lot of conventional, middle-of-the-road, general-purpose snare drums on the market, but this is definitely not one of them," comments DeBasc. "The 'UltraSonic' snare drum was developed especially for serious players who want to add the drum's extraordinarily bright, dry, powerful and articulate sound, wide dynamic range and lightning-fast response to their snare drum collection." According to Puresound president and founder, Yoav DeBasc, only 200 of the custom-crafted "UltraSonic" snare drums will be made available to drummers through professional drumshops and dedicated drum departments. The drums have a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $995 and include a soft, protective drum bag, a serialized badge and a certificate of authenticity.
