NAMM: Schecter Makes 8-String Omen Bass

Schecter announced the addition of an 8-String version to their popular OMEN Basses at Winter NAMM. The new OMEN-8 will include all of the same features of the Diamond Series OMEN-4 and OMEN-5. Features including an arched basswood body, a 6-bolt 34" scale rock maple neck, two Diamond Active Bass humbuckers and a 2-Band Active EQ.

A custom chrome plated Diamond 8-String Bass Tune-o-matic and stop tailpiece helps ensure sustain, sonic clarity though out the instrument's entire range according to the company. Like all 2004 Schecter basses, the OMEN-8 features factory installed ELIXR strings.

The Omen-8 is available in Gloss Black with a suggested retail price of $549.00 A Left Hand version will also be available for $599.00 (MSRP) All Schecter Diamond Series Guitars are backed by a Limited Lifetime Warranty.
