D'Addario, Guitar.com, and Fuse Launch "We're Listening" Contest

Winner Receives Spots and Appearance on Fuse, D'Addario Products, & Much More January 20, 2005
In 2005, one band or artist will win a prize that could change their lives. D'Addario, Guitar.com, and Fuse music television have teamed up for the "We're Listening" contest, which will net the winner prizes ranging from a place in the next D'Addario television advertisement on Fuse and an appearance on Fuse's live show, "Daily Download," full-page print ads, lots of J. D'Addario product, including stuff from D'Addario, Evans drumheads, and Planet Waves cables and accessories, and more.
Unsigned bands are encouraged to enter by visiting Guitar.com and uploading an MP3 of their best original composition. All genres are welcome. The songs will be judged online by visitors to Guitar.com (one vote per song), who will whittle the field down to a Top 150. The top contenders will then be judged by a panel of experts at D'Addario, including guest judges Jeff Stinco of Simple Plan, former Marilyn Manson guitarist John 5, Jane's Addiction bassist Chris Chaney, former Megadeth bassist David Ellefson, producers Roy Z and Joe Beressi, and others.
MP3s can be uploaded from January 10 through March 31, 2005. Online voting will take place from January 10 through April 15, and a final winner will be announced in June. Contest details and rules can be found at Guitar.com.
Speaking of big breaks, unsigned band A Second Chance is getting a huge first chance by being featured in D'Addario's TV campaign, which is scheduled to start February 14 on Fuse.
