ESI introduced a pair of new MIDI controller keyboards at the 2005 Winter NAMM show, the KeyControl 25 and 49.

The KeyControls can be connected to your Macintosh or PC via a simple USB connection. No additional power supply is required.

KeyControl 25 offers numerous controllers: it has 3 wheels, 8 knobs, 8 encoders and 20 buttons. The 8 knobs and 8 encoders can even be assigned twice, just switch between the two banks by pushing a button. Of course all controllers work in real time. In addition, KeyControl 25 is equipped with a polarity changeable sustain pedal jack and you can change the sensitivity of the velocity curve.

KeyControl 49 is a simple MIDI controller for computer music and live performance, also offering USB. KeyControl 49 can also be used as a standalone MIDI controller for performance or together with other MIDI gear The modulation wheel can be assigned to volume, reverb, chorus and pan. Any type of sustain pedal can be connected to KeyControl 49, as you can change the polarity of the connector if required.
