Fender Footwear Line Launches in 2005

January 20, 2005Launching in the spring of 2005, the inaugural line of Fender Footwear will consist predominately of men's fashion athletic shoes, casual shoes, boots, skate shoes, canvas sneakers, beach thongs and chukka boots. In the following year, consumers can look forward to spring and back-to-school collections that will include both women's and children's offerings.
Formed in 2004 by Matt Zale with the help of Lori Briel, two footwear industry veterans with more than 50-years of expertise and proven success, Rock 'N Sole, Ltd. is the exclusive Fender Footwear licensee. Fender Footwear will create casual footwear for men, women and childrenk featuring both cutting-edge and classic styling. Fender Footwear's mission is to create shoes that are functional, comfortable, stylish, immediately recognizable.
Fender Footwear will be designed, merchandised and cross-promoted in conjunction with Fender Musical Instrument Corporation or Corp. and its existing roster of apparel licensees. In addition, Fender Footwear will partner with many of the artists associated with the Fender brand by fully integrating them into its packaging, in-store displays, marketing and advertising. The lines will be imported from shoe factories in Asia and South America, primarily through U.S. agents and trading companies; and will be carried in department stores, footwear chains and independent shoe stores throughout the U.S. and Canada, as well as through Fender's catalog of licensed products and online store.
