New from Fender is the Metalhead, designed from the ground up to deliver a no-nonsense, full-on guitar assault. The Metalhead is a solid state monster built to meet the needs of today's heaviest guitarists.

Coupled with two all new speaker enclosures--the new MH-412SL and MH-412ST--the new Metalhead can deliver up to 550 Watts of power and extreme headroom. The all solid-state circuitry ensures that the Metalhead is reliable and maintenance-free, with its power amp descending from one of Fender's proven Professional Bass amplifier platforms.

Three independent preamp channels create the necessary tones for all modern, heavy guitar styles. The Clean channel is just that--with a great deal of headroom for any live or recorded situation, and a starting point for use with any number of rack or pedal effects. The Tight Drive channel offers a full spectrum of familiar rock guitar tones, and the Loose Drive combines heavy distortion with high-headroom and uncontrolled power-amp rumble for modern drop-tuned metal and punk playing styles.

Said Shane Nicholas, Marketing Manager for Fender Amplifiers, "The new Metalhead is easily our most powerful guitar amplifier, but the thing to remember is that it's about more than just volume. For many guitarists, 100 Watts is more than enough amplifier with regards to volume, and 550 Watts may seem like overkill. But what the Metalhead really offers is the headroom to deliver the aggressive low-end response you can't get with a lower powered amplifier."

The visual appearance of the Metalhead is simple, with heavy-duty flight case hardware and chromed knobs and switches. The companion 4x12 enclosures feature extreme-duty 100 Watt Celestion speakers and matching "flight case" construction, and together, the this head and cabinet combination is ready survive the rigors of the road!

US MSRP for the Metalhead is $1,142.84, and US MSRP for both the MH-412SL and MH-412ST is $857.13.
