January 20, 2005

Fender Musical Instruments Corporation (FMIC) and Fred Gretsch Enterprises announce their latest distribution collaboration, which will add an entirely new product segment to their alliance through Gretsch guitars. As of January 1st, 2005 FMIC will handle the global distribution of Bigsby Vibrato Kits through its FMI Wholesale division, with Gretsch providing significant marketing support.

For the first time ever, more than 8 versions of complete Bigsby Vibrato Kits will be available for all guitar body styles--from flat top and arch top solid body guitars to arch top hollow body guitars. Each kit features everything a guitarist needs to easily install a Bigsby Vibrato onto a non-tremolo guitar, including all of the previously hard to find mounting hardware.

For nearly two years, Gretsch has been focusing on, and investing heavily in, all aspects of range rationalization, communication and presentation of the Bigsby brand name. The result of this effort can be seen in the introduction of these new Bigsby Vibrato Kits.

For consumers, a highly interactive Bigsby web site will enable players everywhere to choose the correct Bigsby Vibrato Kit for their instrument, and it will also allow them to see just how it will look on their guitar.

All new, full color packaging has also been designed to make it easy for guitarists to select the right Bigsby for their instrument in a retail environment. This comes complete with simple instructions for the guitarist to easily install the Bigsby Vibrato.

US MSRP for the Bigsby Vibrato Kits will range from $125.00 to $175.00.
