Gretsch has introduced the new G6120RHH "Reverend Horton Heat" model guitar. Designed and built to the Reverend's specifications, the new G6120RHH combines various aspects of classic Gretsch guitars throughout the years, along with modern stage-ready features.
One of the most beloved musicians and founders of the "psychobilly" genre, Reverend Horton Heat has inspired a devoted fan base who, for many years, have been asking Gretsch to release a guitar with the Reverend's personal specifications. Not merely cosmetic, all of the features on this new model have been added based on Heat's own experience with them on stage, and the guitar has proven itself time and again to be a reliable tool for performing and recording.
Features include a unique combination of 1955 style Gretsch western motifs, along with 1959 pickups and control set-up. The single cutaway hollow body electric guitar is made with a laminated maple construction, trestle bracing, 2-piece maple neck with ebony fingerboard and vintage wide-block position markers. with engraved steer heads, cactus & fences.
The new Gretsch 6120RHH also features TV Jones Classic pickups, tone switch circuitry, pinned Adjusto-matic bridge, Bigsby B6CBDE vibrato tailpiece with 1956 handle, Sperzel locking tuners, and clear pickguard. It is finished in vintage maple stain nitrocellulose lacquer in vintage orange with routed G-brand on upper bout and aged binding.
