PRESS RELEASE

Peavey Introduces Sanctuary Series SSE Array Loudspeakers

SSE LA
SSE LA
January 21, 2005

New from Peavey are the SSE Series arrays and under-balcony loudspeakers. The SSE Series is part of its Sanctuary Series for houses of worship.

Sanctuary Series SSE enclosures are designed to provide premium sound while preserving the subtle aesthetics of your sanctuary. These loudspeaker enclosures are available in white, black and non-finished, stainable wood for matching to any decor, and also feature mounting and flying inserts for arranging in virtually any location in your sanctuary. SSE enclosures ensure the entire audio system blends as seamlessly as possible into your sanctuary's architecture.

The SSE UB2 and UB4 are quarter-spherical coverage arrays that provide mid/high frequency coverage ideal for under-balcony, spot-coverage or delay use, or even an entire small room. These arrays are comprised of high-performance loudspeakers with wide dispersion and a very smooth response across their operating band. Constructed of premium plywood for strength, rigidity and light weight, these speakers incorporate perforated metal grilles covered with cloth for excellent overall appearance. Hanging points are incorporated so these small, unobtrusive arrays can be flown with flexibility in coverage adjustment and stability.

The SSE 44 is a four-speaker line array that provides controlled coverage of a local area. Built-in 45-degree and 30-degree angles on the sides provide many placement options: on walls, in corners, on the floor and wherever else your imagination conceives. The SSE 44 has 4" speakers that allow stand-alone use as a full-range system for voice or background music, and an active crossover with equalization for smooth, even frequency response across the operating band. The SSE 44 can be stacked two or four tall into a classic line array to create a more controlled vertical pattern down to a lower frequency, with increased power handling and improved low frequency extension.

The SSE LA is a dual-radius, curved line array that provides a controlled and contoured vertical coverage pattern for improved intelligibility in larger or more reverberant spaces. Its dual-coverage pattern provides a tight 20? vertical coverage for the primary long-throw pattern and a 40? vertical coverage for the secondary near-field pattern. The smooth curve of the array allows the SSE LA to be flown much lower than most "J" lines, increasing the flexibility and utility in spaces with lower ceilings. Adding to this versatility, an attenuation switch for the near-field pattern reduces the output so that it does not overpower the audience just below and in front of the array.
