Zoom has two new multi-effects pedals combining their staple sounds with several new "modern" tones.

The new GFX-1 with its instant access to four effects patches is great for live performances and built to take the abuse of the road with its solid metal construction.

The GFX-1 lets users choose among 5 amp-modeling types and 5 distortion effect types. The palette ranges from traditional crunch, to the high-gain sounds of heavy rock. 34 essential guitar effects including dynamic, drive, modulation, and ambience effects are all included, and up to eight can be used simultaneously. Combination effects with two types of modulation, such as Flanger plus Chorus or Slow Attack plus Pitch Shift are also included to further enhance creative options. When the user creates that ultimate patch, it can be stored in one of 40 available user memory presets.

GFX-3 adds more patches and an expression pedal to take your tone and performance to the next level.

It has 10 amp modeling types and 10 different distortion types. With that users can enjoy the emulated drive of various tube amps, from vintage combo to modern high-gain. Choose from two variations, standard and classic, to get a 60s and 70s sound. The GFX-3 offers 50 effects in various categories including dynamics, drive, modulation, and ambience. All the standard effects for guitar are there, plus some unconventional ones. The front panel expression pedal is a great tool for any stage performance. Not only does it adjust Volume, Wah, and Pitch, it also controls distortion effect gain, modulation speed, and reverb mix. 60 great presets come loaded right out of the box, and there are 60 user memory slots available.

The metal chassis of the GFX-1 and GFX-3 can withstand the rigors of the road, for use on stage or in the studio, traveling in the gig bag or the back of the bus. Build quality and stability are first rate. The jacks are mounted to the chassis with retaining nuts, protecting internal circuitry, even if a jack should be accidentally tugged or stepped on. Other features include built-in chromatic tuner, ZNR (Zoom Noise Reduction) and 11 hours of continuous operation 4 AA batteries.
