At this year's Winter NAMM show, Ampeg unveiled the brand new SVT1000. This latest addition to Ampeg's legendary Classic Series delivers power and tonal diversity for those players that want the Classic Ampeg look but prefer solid-state output and reliability. The SVT1000 offers 3 bands of EQ with low, ultra-mid and treble, gain and master, an FX loop, Ampeg's 5-position Style control, a Mute switch, and a switchable 9-band graphic EQ. It also features Ampeg's patented tube emulation circuit via the texture switch which provides that classic Ampeg growl at the push of button. The SVT1000 delivers 1000 watts of RMS output power at 4 ohms, both Neutrik Speakon and 1/4" speaker jacks, XLR line out with level, Pre/Post switch, and a Tuner Out jack. The new SVT1000 is priced at $1,599, making it a viable option between the SVTCL and the SVT350H. For more information, visit their web site at http://www.ampeg.com/.
