New Scrambler Series Effects Pedals from Ampeg

January 24, 2005

This spring, Ampeg will release the Scrambler Series Effects Pedals. Based on the original concept of the Scrambler Pedal from 1969, these pedals feature True Bypass Circuitry and Heavy-duty Die-cast metal designs.

The SCP-OD overdrive is the re-issue of the original Scrambler. The Texture control provides Octave Multiplied harmonic content to the signal, which the Balance control varies the amount of overdrive.

The SCP-OCT pedal is the Sub-Octave Divider circuitry from the SVT5PRO and B5R amp heads. This circuitry tracks quickly, and sustains the octaved note during decay.

The SCP-OD and SCP-OCT are expected to be released this spring.
