New V-Tone Driver Series from Behringer

January 26, 2005

Three models make up the new V-Tone Driver Series, catering to electric guitar (GDI21), bass (BDI21), and acoustic guitar (ADI21). All are modeled after pedals originally created by Tech 21.

The GDI21 emulates 3 classic guitar amps, 3 gain modes and 3 mic placements for a total of 27 configurations. Level, Drive, and 2-band EQ let you tailor the sounds.

The BDI21 offers a couple more knobs, adding presence and blend controls. The blend control lets you mix the direct bass sound with the tube emulation output.

Finally, the ADI21 features a three-band EQ with sweepable mid, along with level and blend controls.

All three pedals have 1/4'' unbalanced and balanced, gold-plated XLR outputs. A ground lift switch eliminates typical ground loop problems. The pedals run on either a 9 V battery or optional DC power supply.

MSRP: $39.99 each.
