Cakewalk Training Courses Announced

Advertisement Cakewalk has announced Cakewalk Training, hands-on, accelerated learning courses, developed and offered in cooperation with ProMedia Training. Cakewalk Training courses have been designed to provide students with a wealth of hands on training and knowledge that will make a significant difference in the quality of their productions. Craig Anderton, the world's foremost SONAR expert, will provide hand's on instruction on how to use SONAR proficiently and take advantage of its extremely powerful features. The two courses being offered are: SONAR Insider This two-day course focuses on the skills and techniques needed to use SONAR efficiently in the real-life applications of recording, mixing, and mastering. It explores a wealth of options including workflow optimization, combining SONAR with other applications through ReWire, creative use of instrument and processing plug-ins, Groove Clip looping, and mixing/mastering techniques. All About Looping All About Looping is a one-day course covering all aspects of using SONAR for loop-based music creation, and is essential for those working in digital music media today, whether for purely musical or audio-for-video applications. Students will come out of the class able to create their own loops, optimize commercially-available loops, and most importantly, apply them in musical, cutting-edge ways. ProMedia training courses are delivered in music production facilities throughout the United States and Canada. The first series of Cakewalk Training Courses will take place March 12-14 in Atlanta, GA at Stankonia Studios (home of Album of the Year winner Outkast), and then on April 30-May 2 in New York City, at Soundtrack Studio.
