January 25, 2005

New for 2005, Epiphone's Masterbilt AJ-500RC 12-Fret is based on the existing AJ-500 R, this latest model is defined by the vintage V shape of its slotted peg head neck, which meets the body at the twelfth fret. Not only does this give the Masterbilt a hard-as-nails neck join; it also provides a playing experience that's faithful to the dreadnoughts of the 1920s and 1930s. That solid rosewood body also provides massive volume and classic tone (which will improve as the woods mature), while the natural satin finish and tasteful gold hardware are the icing on an irresistible package.
