Johnson Adds Fishman Pickup Option to Resonator Guitar
January 21, 2005

One of Johnson's wood body resonators now comes with the option of a Fishman pickup. The pickup feature on the Bottle Slide Triolian (JR-550-FEN) reproduces the resophonic tone and provides resistance to feedback. The Bottle Slide Triolian features a hand-spun 9.5" Continental cone. The cone is made in Europe from a specialized aluminum alloy and hand-spun. Continental cones are made incredibly thin for maximum volume and tone. The Triolian was inspired by vintage resonators from the 1930's but has a larger body design for a bigger, deeper tone. The resonator features a mahogany top, back, sides and neck, a hard maple biscuit bridge, a nickel-plated coverplate and inlaid M.O.P. position markers. The Bottle Slide Triolian with Fishman pickup has a list price of $398.00. For more information, visit their web site at http://www.johnsongtr.com/.
