January 20, 2005

National Reso-Phonic Guitars presents its first production mandolin: the new 2005 Model One mandolin with black walnut back/sides and maple top and neck.

This instrument is the result of nearly two years of intensive research and development at National's factory in San Luis Obispo, California where it is being manufactured. Inspired by a rare pre-war wood bodied National mandolin, the new mandolin has traditional features like the biscuit bridge combined with modern touches such as an intonated saddle and a comfortably radiused fingerboard. The art deco cast tailpiece is a National exclusive. With the best modern gears, this new mandolin stays and plays in tune better than any mandolins in National history.

Suggested List Price: US$1,850.00
