Roland's new V-Stage Series TD-12S features mesh drum pads all the way around. The bundled TD-12 COSM-modeling drum module is an upgrade from the previous TD-8, as it shares the same sound quality as Roland's flagship TD-20 sound module. The new Interval Control feature changes sounds in natural ways based on the speed of the drummer's strokes. Also included with the TD-12S is the new VH-11 floating hi-hat, which provides a natural feel, and mounts on a standard hi-hat stand (optional). Also noteworthy is the TD-12S's snare drum pad, which, compared to its predecessor, has been enlarged from 8" to 10". It also offers positional sensitivity. The TD-12S package includes the new MDS-12 Drum Stand, with advanced-gripping pipe clamps. Cabling can be concealed inside the tubes for a clean, tidy appearance. Two color variations are available for the TD-12S – choose from classic black or white finishes. MSRP: $4299. Expected to ship in April.
