Zildjian's Super 5A and 5B Get Anti-Vibe and Purple Dip Options
January 23, 2005

Zildjian used the Winter NAMM show to announce the addition of two of its most popular stick innovations to the Zildjian Super 5A and Super 5B models. Anti-Vibe and Purple DIP will now be available on both models in either wood or nylon tip versions. Already available in 7A, 5A, 5B and 2B, Zildjian Anti-Vibe reduces unwanted vibrations in the struck stick. The stick maintains it's conventional lacquer finish and appearance, while the vibration absorption technology is contained out of the way, inside the butt-end of the stick. Also introduced in January of 2003, purple was added to the already popular DIP coating option available on wood and nylon tip 7A, 5A, 5B, 2B and several artist models such as John Tempesta, Marc Qui ones and Trilok Gurtu. The DIP material is a special coating that is applied to the grip area of the stick to provide a comfortable, slightly tacky gripping surface. This allows drummers to loosen their grip and relax their hands more, particularly in sweaty playing situations. All Zildjian Super 5A and Super 5B models are made from U.S. Select Hickory. DIP models feature a Metallic Chrome logo treatment. MSRP (per pair):
