Classik Studio Reverb Shipping In January
A suite of 4 high-quality digital reverbs modeled after popular outboard classics.
January 20, 2006
IK Multimedia is proud to announce that CSR™, Classik Studio
Reverb will be shipping in January 2006. CSR™ offers a suite of 4 high-end studio-quality reverb plugins
modeled after popular outboard classics.
A complete suite of studio quality reverbs with 4 high end reverb plug-ins. CSR offers a suite
of 4 high quality reverbs: HALL, ROOM, AMBIENCE and INVERSE; designed to emulate the sounds of
acclaimed high-quality outboard reverb units. With these four classic studio reverb choices, Classik
Studio Reverb offers a superior and trusted sound for any type of mix situation.
A musicality that rivals high-end outboard gear for a sound that sits perfectly in any mix.
CSR is a high-quality, musical reverb processor with a flexibility that was previously only available in
extremely expensive hardware reverb units. Performing with the quality and character that top
engineers have depended on for years in the studio, CSR was designed to get the maximum musicality
and recreate the classic sound to sit perfectly in any mix.
Easy to use with advanced editing features make it suitable for any user, from beginner to
pro. With the look and feel of a typical effects rack on the interface, all the necessary controls are laid
out for an immediate great sound.
CSR offers two modes: Easy and Advanced, coupled with more than 100 editing parameters:
Operating in Easy Mode simply puts the most important controls on the front panel of the plug-in,
making CSR an easy to use and a quick solution when an instant high-quality sound is needed.
- Shape the sound using only 6 parameters: Mix, Diffusion, Reverb Time, Low Frequency Gain, High
Frequency Cutoff, and High Frequency Dampening; giving you full control over the main character of
the reverb.
In Advanced Mode, you will find a huge array of modeling and shaping controls with over 100 reverb
parameters. All of them can be adjusted and changed to create the reverb effect that you need,
tailored to the very finest detail. Offering high-end controls only found in professional outboard gear,
you also have:
- A Modulation Matrix with an 8x8 structure; meaning that 8 modulation sources can manipulate 8
destinations. For example, by applying an envelope to your reverb time, you can fine-tune the tail for
a specific reverb sound. Or, use an LFO to modulate the reverb image, creating movement in the
acoustic space.
- 4 customizable Macro controls which allow complex sweeping changes in Classik Studio Reverb's
effects, transforming complete environments with singular control. You can associate up to 8 different
CSR controls to a simple Macro slider; therefore allowing seamless morphing changes between
different reverb settings.
In both Easy and Advanced Modes, it is always simple to find that perfect sound. A convenient A/B
comparison allows you to quickly apply modifications and compare between two reverb settings in a
snap.
Giving you performance that mirrors high-end studio equipment, Classik Studio Reverb is
much more flexible than the current impulse-based technologies in both editing features
and in behavior. While impulse reverbs have gained a lot of popularity because of their particular
emulation of environment reverberation, they are inherently CPU-intensive and typically lack the
particular musical sound and editing possibilities that famous studio digital reverbs have always
offered. CSR is not only less CPU demanding, but also much more flexible in terms of editing features.
Now you have the ability to manipulate and shape reverbs from a number of angles, without
compromising or slowing down your processor speed and functionality.
High-end studio features:
- Suite of 4 separate reverb units: Plate, Room, Hall, and Inverse
- State of the art DSP based reverb algorithms
- 2 operational modes: Easy and Advanced
- Specific Algorithm-based Parameters list unique to each unit
- Over 100 editing parameters overall
- Adjustable input and output reverb width
- High quality reverb filtering
- Highly customizable 8x8 Modulation Matrix per unit
- 4 assignable Macros per unit
- Smooth parameter morphing capabilities
- Two internal LFOs per unit- Two internal Envelope generators per unit
- Full automation through host sequencer
