With the release of 10 new products at this year's Winter NAMM show in Anaheim, California, 2006 is set to be another groundbreaking year at M-Audio. Ranging from high-end monitors and a professional tube mic to new keyboard controllers and more, these latest M-Audio products are designed to address the needs of both the professional producer and the musician on the go.

The new EX66 active monitors are designed to satisfy the needs of even the most demanding professional. With an innovative dual mid-woofer design, these powered monitors deliver stunningly accurate results across the entire frequency spectrum. M-Audio has long been known for making top quality MIDI controllers. The latest additions to this product group are the new Oxygen and Axiom lines. The Oxygen line picks up with a revamped version of the original mobile keyboard controller—the Oxygen 8 v2. This new portable boasts 25 full-size keys, eight rotary encoders, six transport controls, 10 non-volatile memory locations and more. Rounding out this new line are the larger Oxygen 49 and Oxygen 61, which sport a 49- and 61-key chassis, respectively, in addition to assignable sliders/buttons and deeper MIDI implementation.

The Axiom 25 kicks off the more advanced Axiom line. Built around an even more rugged chassis, the Axiom 25 includes 25 semi-weighted velocity-sensitive keys with assignable aftertouch, eight MIDI trigger pads, six reassignable transport buttons, 20 non-volatile memory locations and more. And for the user that needs more keys and controller options, the 49-key Axiom 49 and the 61-key Axiom 61 complete the new line.

Also on the keyboard front, the ProKeys 88sx is the latest news in stage pianos. Designed with a slimmer, lighter chassis than M-Audio's popular ProKeys 88 hammer-action model, the ProKeys 88sx and its semi-weighted action weighs in at less than 20 pounds. The sound set includes two pianos, Fender Rhodes, Wurlitzer E.P., Yamaha DX7 FM Classic E.P., Hammond B3 Percussion Organ and a Clavinet. Each instrument was sampled at multiple velocity layers for a more a dynamic and expressive playing experience.

For the mobile producer, the new Fast Track Pro represents the latest advancements in USB-powered audio/MIDI interfaces. With two front panel mic/instrument preamp inputs (Neutrik XLR/1/4" TRS), S/PDIF and MIDI I/O, and near zero-latency hardware direct monitoring, this new interface turns any compatible Mac or PC into a full-fledged 24-bit/96kHz mobile recording studio.
