Two new exclusive wrapped finishes are being added to Mapex's popular Pro M Series of drum sets. The two finishes, Vanilla Cream Pearl and Black Chrome Pearl are the latest selections available to Pro M purchasers.
"What gorgeous drum sets," exclaimed Herlin Riley, Mapex Artist and drummer for Winton Marsalis, as he visited the Mapex USA offices for a photo shoot with a kit decked out in Vanilla Cream Pearl. "The way the finishes catch and reflect the light is amazing. These are fantastic takes on a classic look."
The Pro M features thin 7-ply, 5.8mm shells constructed of North American Maple. Five and six-piece sets are available and all come with double braced Mapex 550 Series Hardware and the newly upgraded double chain P750A bass drum pedal.
As an additional bonus in 2006, Mapex is inviting consumers to "Buy the Kit, Get the Cat" by giving an exclusive 12 x 7 cherry and maple Black Panther Snare Drum with the purchase of selected configurations.
"We anticipate significant demand for the Pro M," said Joseph Vasko, Vice President and General Manager of Mapex USA. "With the introduction of these exciting new finishes and the incentive of a free, high quality Black Panther snare with the purchase of a set, the potential of the Pro M is very exciting."
Pro M drum sets in Vanilla Cream Pearl and Black Chrome Pearl are scheduled to arrive at authorized dealers in January 2006. MSRP for five-piece Pro M drum sets start at $1,729.00. For more information, visit their web site at www.mapexdrums.com.
