Rebel Strap Co. Releases GTO, Tri-Pick, Super '60s, Metal Skull, And Rock-It Series Straps

The Rebel Strap Co. unveils six new guitar strap lines–GTO Series, Tri-Pick Series, Super '60s Series, Metal Skull Series and Rock-It Series–comprised of 22 designs featuring innovative options, retro and contemporary graphics, and exclusive components...all with a rockin' twist on the basic strap concept! The new straps round out the company's fashion-forward offerings, which debuted at the 2005 Summer NAMM Show and were created in answer to a demand for more youth-oriented guitar straps with edgy designs and unique functions. Rebel Straps are distributed exclusively worldwide by FMI Wholesale, a division of Fender® Musical Instrument Corp.

Rebel Strap Co. founder Joey Tafolla, a former guitarist with 3 solo recordings to his credit, says "We work with a lot of young bands that haven't even hit the scene yet, and what we're hearing from these players between the ages of 14-to-28, is that they want a guitar strap design that will reflect what they're wearing and their lifestyle. Being in Huntington Beach, which is a California surf/skate community and has a lot of the sports apparel companies in this area, we are privy to cutting-edge designs and styles before they hit the market."

About the New Rebel Straps:
An industry first! Rebel's Metal Skull Series combines a strap with unique functionality of a lighter holder, bottle opener and a pick/accessory holder! These three patent-pending designs are crafted of polished hand-cast steel blend: the Skull Lighter holds your trusty butane close to the vest (lighter included), the Skull Bottle Opener makes a quick gig-induced thirst easy to quench, and the Skull Pick Box keeps your picks and assorted accessories at hand in its hinged compartment. All straps are constructed of low-friction black Duralon, which glides smoothly over the shoulder. Each strap can extend up to 61 inches in length. The Rock-It Series sports the Heavy Metal universal hand gesture synonymous with 'Rock On!' and offers the same lighter/opener/pick box options. MSRP: $39.99.
