Audio-Technica Expands Import Headphone Series With Four New Models

Audio-Technica has expanded its Import Series headphones with four new models. Previously available only in Japan, the Import Series is comprised of 19 different models specifically designed for audiophiles, DJs or portable listening applications. Each headphone features the latest in transducer technology, rugged construction, and delivers the highest level of sonic accuracy while providing maximum comfort for hours of listening. The new models include: the ATH-CK9 QuietPoint™ Passive Noise-Reducing Earphones; the ATH-CK7 QuietPoint Passive Noise-Reducing Titanium Earphones; the ATH-ES7 Portable Headphones; and the audiophile ATH-W5000 Dynamic Headphones.

The ATH-CK9 BK (black) and ATH-CK9 WH (white) QuietPoint Passive Noise-Reducing Earphones feature an in-ear design that forms an acoustic seal resulting in effective sound isolation that blocks background noise while preventing sound leakage. This produces increased fidelity at lower volume levels while ultra high-quality balanced armature drivers offer detailed high-fidelity audio, reproducing the subtlest of sounds. The ATH-CK9's reversible design allows the earphone to be worn with the 1.2 m "Y" cord extending either down or over the ear. Interchangeable ear-pieces (small, medium, large) are included for a custom, comfortable fit, while the gold-plated mini-plug provides exceptional corrosion resistance.

The ATH-ES7 BK (black) and ATH-ES7 WH (white) Portable Headphones feature a stainless steel, ultra-sleek contemporary design with outstanding acoustic performance and reproduction of midrange and treble frequencies. Employing 42 mm drivers with neodymium magnet systems, copper-clad aluminum wire voice coils, and a flexible T.P.E. headband for a secure, comfortable fit, the ATH-ES7 headphones also have padded ear cushions for long-wearing comfort and maximum isolation. The headphones fold for easy storage while traveling in the protective carrying pouch and come with a 1.2 m "Y" cable and gold-plated mini-plug.
