M-Audio Introduces The Studiophile AV 20 Portable Desktop Speaker System

M-Audio is proud to announce the Studiophile™ AV 20 portable desktop speaker system.
The Studiophile AV 20 speakers distill M-Audio's professional studio monitor technology down to a compact size ideal for travel or tight desktop spaces. Small enough to fit in the corner of a carry-on bag, the Studiophile AV 20s provide a practical alternative to headphones or bulkier speaker systems while on the go.
Comprising a 2" composite woofer, 1" ferrofluid-cooled Mylar dome tweeter, crossover and an internal 10-watt amplifier per channel, the Studiophile AV 20 delivers solid bass, crisp highs and convincing realism while occupying only a fraction of the space of standard desktop speakers. The speakers also feature magnetically shielded drivers so they can coexist with computer monitors, TVs and other electronic equipment without interference.
Unlike similar products in this category, the Studiophile AV 20 speakers feature custom cabinets with dense wood construction for tight, accurate bass response. A unique angled design directs sound to the ear for greater precision and listening satisfaction.
The Studiophile AV 20 also features the M-Audio® proprietary OptImage III wave guide, which improves high-frequency response while minimizing phasing issues that can plague other portable monitors. The wave guide evens out the response of the tweeter. It also time-aligns the tweeter and the woofer so the audio from each driver reaches the listener at the same time, guaranteeing precise stereo imaging and accurate response.
