Mapex Announces Five New Drum Throne Models
January 25, 2007
Mapex announced the addition of five new throne products to its hardware line-up. The T755A and T750A are top-of-line professional drummer's thrones that feature thickly padded cushioned seats and durable soft vinyl seat covers. The T755A has a contoured saddle-style seat that measure 17-inches wide and 4-inches thick. The T750A has a 14-inch diameter round seat and 4-inch thick padding for complete and lasting comfort.
A threaded steel rod and corresponding threading locking collar tube mechanism allow an 18 to 26-inch height range adjustment for both the T755A and the T750A. A die cast memory lock ensures that adjustments are identical for every use. The tripod-style double braced legs feature the Mapex "natural curve" design that ensures stability and comfort. MSRP for the T755A Saddle-Style model is $199.99. The round T750A has an MSRP of $168.99.
Two mid-range thrones were also introduced. The saddle-style T575A and the round 570A features soft vinyl covered, 4-inch think padded seats and double braced, natural curved legs. The 16 to 24-inch height adjustment is set with a dual steel tube and thumbscrew with a die cast memory lock. MSRP for the T575A is $163.99 and MSRP for the T570A is $139.99.
Finally, Mapex has introduced a new student-style throne with a 12-inch diameter, 2.5-inch thick cushioned seat. The T270A has a 6-position keyway rod with a stop-lock nut that allows a height range adjustment between 17 and 22 inches. The T270A has double braced legs and carries an MSRP of $79.99.
All Mapex thrones are covered by the company's unprecedented five-year warranty.
