Monster Power Introduces The Pro Power 5100 PowerCenter

January 23, 2007

Monster Power, maker of a wide range of AC power conditioning products as well as rechargeable and single-use PowerCells™, featured the Monster Pro Power™ 5100 Rack Mountable PowerCenter™ at the 2007 Winter NAMM show8.

With a suggested price of $799.95, the Pro Power 5100 bridges the gap between the popular Pro Power 3500 and the Pro Power 7000 while providing exclusive Clean Power™ and optimum protection of pro studio, home studio, mobile studio and live sound gear for maximum performance.

"Few people realize that AC power is typically polluted, filled with electromagnetic interference and radio frequency noise that can degrade performance," explained The Head Monster Noel Lee. "Additionally, the current coming from most AC outlets is inherently unbalanced, creating hi-frequency oscillations that get picked up on the form of hum, buzz and static, and AC noise adds to the noise floor of a customer's signal. AC power filtration and surge/spike protection, such as that provided by the Monster Pro Power 5100, ensures performance and longevity for sophisticated audio/video components and computers."

Furthermore, unpredictable power surges and voltage spikes can damage sensitive electronics beyond repair. This unbalanced, unstable, dirty power jeopardizes performance by limiting each component's capabilities, resulting in inferior audio clarity and reduced dynamic range, along with imprecise imaging and diminished color and detail. Monster Pro Power PowerCenters work to counteract these conditions, while each of the 5100's filter banks are isolated from one other, thus preventing noisy gear from contaminating other components.
