Saga Musical Instruments is the first guitar manufacturer to offer Adirondack spruce as an option on select model Blueridge guitars--the first production guitars available on the market in almost 60 years to be made with this hard-to-find and legendary material from North America.

Long know for its rich fullness of tone and clarity at all dynamic levels, Adirondack is the primary wood choice used by many of the great pre-war American guitar manufacturers, and smaller custom makers of today. Unfortunately, its limited availability on the market today is directly related to the high level of use in the early days. Thankfully, in recent years, proper care has been taken to make the species available again, yet still to only a select few.

Adirondack spruce and vintage sunburst finishes will now be options available on three dreadnought guitars of the Contemporary Series. This will make them the only solid-top, laminate back and side instruments on the market to use such high-quality wood for the tops.

For instruments made of all-solid woods like those of the popular Historic series, Saga introduces the BR-140A, BR-160A, and the BR-180A. Each will get the same great Adirondack top with a light toner applied to preserve the overall vintage look and appeal of the series.
