Saga Musical Instruments Debuts Kentucky A-Model Mandolin Upgrades

Kentucky has reintroduced the KM-160 and KM-170 back to the popular Artist series of A-model mandolins. Both models in the series have been given the same upgrades. Features that Kentucky's early instruments—which now command prices in the vintage market beyond their original selling price—had never possessed.
The original KM-160 was one of the first A-model mandolins in its price range to be made of all solid material and with a neck joint at the 12th fret. Now add a one-piece neck with a dove-tail neck joint, more select tone-woods, quality nickel-plated hardware, and delicate nitro-cellulose finish applied over a variety of traditional colors and you have some very special instruments.
For those who prefer something a little different, but still like that A-model shape, Kentucky has also re-introduced the KM-170 series. The most notable differences between this and other A-models they make is the "oval" sound hole and a neck-body joint found at the 10th-fret.
