PRESS RELEASE
AXL Debuts Akita All-Tube Amplifiers
January 21, 2007
Advertisement With a vintage design and classic features recalling the most popular amps of the late 60's, new all-tube amps from AXL give you incredible output power and tons of tube tone. The AXL Akita Series (AA-AK) have tubes in the pre-amp and power amp, as well as Accutronics reverb, Alphatone speakers, clean and overdrive channels and a 3-band EQ. These amplifiers are explosively loud and bring classic tube tone to a new generation of players. One of the most powerful models, the AT40, pumps 40 watts RMS through two 12" speakers, and is equipped with four 12AX7 tubes in the preamp and four EL84 tubes in the power amp. These new amps have a great vintage design featuring copper-plated control knobs and a cabinet with either a birch plywood veneer or a tolex covering, and a vintage pattern grille cloth. The new Akita Series are available in 20, 30 and 40 watt models, as well as a half-stack with a 50 watt amp head and 200 watt output cabinet. Get a first look at these amplifiers at booth #5476.
