PRESS RELEASE
Five New X-Series Guitars
January 29, 2007
Advertisement Twenty-five years after the Ibanez X-Series name was given to some of Ibanez's more radically shaped guitars, the X-Series is being reinvigorated with five new and original designs, all named after real or mythological weaponry. In the higher-end, the new X-shaped XP700 Xiphos and the V-shaped V-Blade feature thru-necks and DiMarzio's new D Activator pickups. In the very affordable category, three differently shaped Arondite models offer the classic combination of set-necks, hi-power humbuckers and mahogany bodies. The X-shaped Xiphos lists for 866.65. The V-shaped V-Blade lists for $799.99. The three different Arondite models list for just $399.99. Background D'Marzio D Activator pickups were designed to offer the sound of an active pickup, often the preference of metal players, but without the need for battery power. VBT700 (V-Blade) - Available in WH White or BK Black finishes XPT700 (Xiphos) - Available in BCM or RCM finishes ADC120BK (Arondite Single-Cutaway) ADD120BK (Arondite) ADX120BK (Arondite)
