Audix Corporation introduces the CabGrabber™, an innovative accessory for the pro audio market. Simple, elegant, compact, and easy to use, the CabGrabber™ enables sound engineers and musicians to conveniently place a microphone on a guitar amplifier or cabinet without the use of a mic stand.

Constructed of durable aluminum tubing, the CabGrabber™ is lightweight but very capable of holding microphones typically used for miking guitar cabinets securely and firmly in place, including large diaphragm condenser mics weighing up to 16 ounces. Designed to operate with most guitar combo amps and cabinets on the market,

The CabGrabber™ will accommodate cabinets ranging from 8 to 14 inches in depth. The CabGrabber™, which is held on to the cabinet by a tension fit design, will work equally well on cabinets with a flat surface or a recessed edge. The tubular arm, which is threaded to hold any standard microphone clip, will rotate 180 degrees and can be locked into position with a thumb screw. This, plus the ability to place the CabGrabber™ at any location on either the side of the cabinet or the top of the cabinet, will allow the user to place the microphone in the exact location they desire.

Audix VP of Sales, Cliff Castle, states "Ever since we produced the i-5 three years ago we have wanted to produce an accessory that we could bundle with it that would simplify miking a guitar cabinet. One day Eric Johnson, our studio engineer, walked in with a prototype concept for a clamp he made for his own guitar cabinet. Our design team refined the idea and came up with a design that blew everybody away. The CabGrabber™ is one cool product; once you see it, you'll wonder why nobody came up with it before."

Breaking down to a length of just 9.5 inches, the CabGrabber™ can easily be stored in the back of an amp or a gig bag. The CabGrabber™ is available from authorized Audix dealers at a suggested retail price of $59.
