Cerwin-Vega! Releases CVA-28 Full Range Active Speaker System

Cerwin-Vega!, a leading manufacturer of loudspeakers and audio products, proudly announces the introduction of the CVA-28 active speaker system. Designed to be used stand alone or as a system solution with the CVA-115, CVA-118 and CVA-121 active subwoofers, the CVA-28 is a 3-way active speaker system that features dual 8" custom-designed Cerwin Vega drivers. These innovative drivers provide tight bass and defined mid-range while the concentric compression driver configuration provides smooth high frequency performance for remarkable detail and imaging. A 400 watt RMS 800 watt peak 3-way integrated amplifier powers this ultra-efficient design, resulting in low distortion and lots of volume. Similar to Cerwin Vega's CVA-115, CVA-118 and CVA-121 active subwoofers, the CVA-28 utilizes an attractive and functional front grill that dissipates heat from the drivers so they run efficiently with optimum output and performance.

The unique design methodology employed by Cerwin-Vega engineers in the creation of the CV Active series has produced a highly configurable system that is designed to offer maximum flexibility by offering a large number of configuration possibilities. The CVA-28 can either be mounted or installed thanks to integrated flypoints and pole mounts. The CVA mounting kits provide optimized arrayability configurations which include double and triple mounting options for Cerwin-Vega subwoofers. The unique "antler" mounting system allows up to 3 CVA-28 speakers to be horizontally arrayed on top of the subwoofers, with optimum dispersion angles cast into the supports, ensuring perfect set-up and sensational sound for the audience. Finally, shortened power and audio cables are utilized in an effort to create a clean and organized aesthetic for the Cerwin-Vega Active system.

Our team utilized multiple listening sessions that simulated real world environments from MP3 files and inexpensive mixers to high end consoles and jazz ensembles so our speakers would perform well in every possible application," remarked Mike Newman, Cerwin Vega's Director of Product Management.
