Cerwin-Vega!, a leading manufacturer of loudspeakers and audio products, proudly announces the introduction of a new line of professional non-powered subwoofers at NAMM. The Cerwin-Vega Passive Series consists of two unique models, CVP-121 and CVP-118, featuring Cerwin-Vega's legendary driver design and bass performance. The CVP-121 and CVP-118 are capable of handling massive amounts of power, 4000 watts peak and 1400 watts peak respectively. Thanks to Cerwin-Vega's renowned Stroker™ technology, the CVP-121 delivers performance that is unparrelled by any other subwoofer on the market. Both subwoofers are housed cabinets typically reserved for smaller subwoofers: the CVP-121 houses a 21" driver in a typical 18" cabinet and the CVP-118 houses a 18" driver in a typical 15" cabinet. Cerwin-Vega's CVP line of subwoofers feature enormous amounts of power handling capabilities in a compact design, resulting in one of the best values on the market.

To add to its unique design, the subwoofer is housed in a cabinet the size of a traditional 18-inch subwoofer, and includes a cast aluminum grille that functions as a heat sink for the subwoofer's driver. Cerwin-Vega has incorporated design elements in their new line of passive subwoofers that allow for flexibility in the configuration. The CVP-121 features three pole cups that allow for the addition of up to three top boxes.

The CVP-121 features are detailed below:

  • 2000W Continuous, 4000W peak power handling for overwhelming bass
