Two new members have been added to the D-Lite series first introduced by Dynacord in 2005: the D 8 two-way full-range speaker system and the Sub 112 twelve-inch subwoofer. These round-off the series — which has proved successful all over the world — in a harmonious fashion.
Both new models in the D-Lite series are the result of a well-considered process of optimization. Their most significant features — enormous sound pressure levels, low distortion, compact dimensions and subtle styling — make the D 8 and Sub 112 equally suitable for mobile and fixed professional sound reinforcement applications.
D-Lite series: D 8 Compact, light, robust and with power handling of 250/1000W (Rated/Peak), the D 8 achieves a maximum sound pressure level of 124 dB and covers the entire range from 65Hz to 20 kHz. The enclosure, which is made from a particularly resilient ABS, houses a low-distortion DND8200-8 neodymium chassis for the bass and midrange, a constant-directivity HF horn (nominal coverage pattern 90 x 90°) and an Electro-Voice DH3 driver.
These high-quality components offer, along with high power handling, an extremely low level of distortion, excellent intelligibility and exceptionally natural reproduction. An extensive range of accessories and a choice of two colours (black or white) add to the attractive feature set of the D 8, which weighs just under nine kilos.
D-Lite series: Sub 112 The Sub 112 is a real power giant, despite its strikingly compact dimensions and lightweight construction, delivering fantastic sound pressure levels — up to 124 dB in the maximum range. The vented direct-radiating enclosure is armed with a high-power Dynacord DND12S400 neodymium woofer and features a conical reflex design. The consequences are negligible airflow loss, low wind noise, very little distortion and the provision of an impressively mighty and substantial low-bass foundation.
Thanks to the integration of a passive filter, the Sub 112 commends itself as a direct, bass extension switched parallel to suitably equipped full-range cabinets (e.g. the Dynacord D 8). The compact and resilient enclosure is made from 15mm birch multiplex with a dual-component coating. For more information, visit their web site at www.dynacord.com/wDynacord/en/index.php.
