The Anaheim Winter NAMM Show will see the debut of the Ibanez Montage, a combination acoustic and electric guitar. "The Montage isn't simply another hybrid-type design," Irene Shvartsman of Ibanez Acoustic Guitars. "It's a unique Ibanez treatment of the concept with onboard DSP and electronics that allow the working player to go anywhere, plug into nearly any kind of amplification and handle any gig or style. Plus you've got five very different body and top materials, all in a range of prices the working player can afford."
Further assisting the gigging guitarist on the go, all the Montage Dual Acoustic/Electric guitars feature Ibanez Fast Action Set-Up Technology (F.A.S.T.) neck construction for quick, on-the-fly neck adjustments. Electric tones are provided by the Ibanez AP9 magnetic pickup, the acoustic tones by a B-Band UST pickup. Prices for the Montage start at $785.70 list. The limited production koa-bodied MSC750NT lists for just $1142.84.
